The NB Safety Council offers a four (4) hour Transportation of Dangerous Goods course. This course was meets the requirements for training under the Canadian Transportation of Goods Regulations and the Canadian Trucking Associations 'Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations - A Trucker Guide.'
The program covers the TDG Act and Regulations as it pertains to land modes of transportation. The course is worker specific, made to emphasize all aspects of the act and regulations pertaining to the audience whether they are Shippers, Receivers, Couriers, Fork Lift Operators and Intermodal Transporters. Also includes those working in proximity to dangerous goods and utilizing their 'Right to Know'.
The course utilizes overheads, handout materials and group discussions to deliver the information.
Each participant must complete a test either written or oral (80%).
